The Joy Luck Club1 In the novel, The Joy Luck Club, by Amy burn mark, the characters Suyuan and Jing-Mei Woo harbour a mother-daughter human relationship confused with garbled conflict, but ultimately peaceful of deep love and homage for one another. Because of drastic differences in the environments in which they were raised and in their life experiences, these two women have some opposing ideas and beliefs.
