Jefferson Davis Jefferson Davis was born on June, 3rd, 1808, in Christian County, Kentucky. He was initiate at Transylvania University and at the U.S. armed services Academy. After his graduation in 1828, he served in the forte until bad health force him to residn in 1835. He was a farmer in quadruplex sclerosis from 1835 to 1845. Then he was elected to the U.S. congress. In 1846, he re reduceed his shadower in establish of battle to serve in the Mexican state of war and fought at Monterrey and Buena Vista, where he was wounded. He was a U.S. Senator from Mississippi from 1847 to 1857, and a U.S. Senator again from 1857 to 1861.
